Our season for walk-in visitors will begin Saturday, May 22, 2010.

At that time, we will be open Thursday through Saturday from 10:00 till 5:00 PM with the last tour beginning at 4:30. Open Sunday 1:00 - 5:00 with the last tour beginning at 4:30. September & October, we are open only Saturday and Sunday, the same hours.

Admission: Adults $5.00, Children under 11, $1.00.

From May through October, tours for 10 or more may be scheduled by arrangement two weeks in advance. Call Linda Johnston at the Charles H MacNider Museum of art, (641) 421-3666. Through Linda, arrangements can also be made for a 30 minute slide lecture on Prairie School architecture in Mason City and/or a guided sidewalk tour of Rock Glen / Rock Crest.

The Stockman House is handicap accessible by wheel chair on the first floor only. Those unable to reach the second floor may enjoy a VCR tape of the second floor, which can be viewed in our veranda/reception area. We have no public restrooms. They can be accessed at the MacNider Museum as part of a tour there.

Bus tours are requested to park in First Street SE, just south of our entrance sidewalk. For scheduled bus tours we place a bus parking sign on the north edge of our bus parking spot.
